Switching from FieldRoutes or PestPac to Solea
Plan a switch to Solea around AI automation, verified records, payment readiness and launch checks, with Able’s FieldRoutes migration as an example.

Switching pest control software is a chance to change how much work your office has to do. Solea is an end-to-end, AI-native platform that connects customer communication, scheduling, field work, payments and reporting, with automation taking on repeated back-office tasks.
For a team moving from FieldRoutes or PestPac, the plan has two parts: demonstrate the work Solea will automate, and verify that the records and workflows your operation depends on are ready for launch.
Start with your actual customer journey, then build the migration around it.
Decide what you want the new platform to take over
Before discussing a cutover date, identify the tasks your office repeatedly handles and walk them through Solea.
| Office workload | What to evaluate in Solea |
|---|---|
| Answering appointment calls | Have the AI voice agent complete an enabled booking or rescheduling request within your operating rules. |
| Planning upcoming routes | Show overnight optimization working with shifts, skills, customer constraints and drive times. |
| Processing payment after service | Follow a completed visit through the configured auto-charge and receipt workflow. |
| Following up on overdue invoices | Show the reminder triggers, customer messages and payment links. |
| Understanding business performance | Demonstrate AI-assisted reporting using the questions your managers need answered. |
The purpose is to give your team more time for customer experience. Identify which tasks finish automatically and where a person remains involved.

Map the records your office actually uses
Build the migration scope around representative accounts. Include a recurring residential customer, a commercial property with devices, an account with an open balance and any specialized inspection work you run.
| Record group | What to agree and verify |
|---|---|
| Customers and properties | Account relationships, service addresses, contact information and scheduling preferences. |
| Recurring services | Visit frequency, upcoming appointments, service terms and billing setup. |
| Service and treatment history | Completed visits, application records and documents your staff needs to retrieve. |
| Commercial inspections | Device lists, locations, inspection records and required customer reports. |
| Billing | Open invoices, balances, credits and the next expected charge. |
| Stored payment methods | The transfer process, processor responsibilities and readiness before cutover. |
This is a scoping checklist, not a promise that every record transfers automatically from every source system. Agree on the mapping and verify sample accounts before accepting the result.
For treatment and inspection workflows, see chemical and EPA tracking and WDO inspections.
Treat payments as part of the launch plan
Moving customer records and moving saved payment methods are different pieces of work.
Solea’s billing setup uses Stripe, and its implementation lead begins the billing migration once the Stripe account is connected. Your plan should identify how saved payment methods will become available and how the business will keep collecting payment before cutover.
Once the new setup is ready, demonstrate recurring billing and auto-charge on representative accounts. Confirm the receipt and overdue-reminder notifications your office intends to use.
The goal is to carry payment automation into the new operation with a clear handoff between systems. Explore billing and payments.
A published FieldRoutes migration: Able Pest Management
Able Pest Management’s move from FieldRoutes provides a concrete example of how the stages can fit together.
According to Solea’s published Able case study, its initial data transfer took three days. Customers, properties, subscriptions, contracts and service history came across while Able kept operating in FieldRoutes.
The full rollout ran from signing in late May 2026 to go-live on July 27. It included role-based training, payment preparation, data checks and a final sync on launch morning. Saved cards moved to Stripe over approximately 30 days, and the launch date was adjusted to allow them to be ready.
Able’s first full month on Solea showed 29% less drive time per appointment than the same month a year earlier, with almost unchanged appointment volume. That is a customer result published by Solea, not a guaranteed outcome for another business.
Distinguish the initial data transfer from the complete rollout. Give payments, people and validation their own place in the schedule.
Plan your own FieldRoutes or PestPac cutover
Able’s experience is evidence about one FieldRoutes migration. For your own FieldRoutes or PestPac move, establish the available transfer approach and record scope before setting a date.
Assign an owner on your side and identify the Solea implementation lead. Include scheduling and billing staff because they know the exceptions that a simple account count will not reveal.
Use preparation time to practice a normal working day: book a visit, handle a change, complete field work, take payment and review the results. Confirm how customer updates will be captured while preparation is underway.
At cutover, everyone should know which system controls the schedule, which system bills customers and where to resolve an exception. A clear handoff is as important as the import itself.
Compare Solea with FieldRoutes or PestPac as part of the product evaluation.
Set launch checks around customer experience
The final checks should reflect what a customer will experience after the switch.
Can the office find their history? Can the AI agent handle an enabled appointment request? Is the right service on the schedule? Can the technician record the work? Will the account be charged as intended?
Check the customer-facing report, payment link and notifications too. These are the points where internal setup becomes the service a customer sees.
With records and workflows verified, the platform can begin taking on the routine administration you chose it to automate. Book a migration walkthrough or request a quote.
Frequently asked questions
- Can Solea replace FieldRoutes or PestPac?
- Solea is an end-to-end pest control platform spanning customer communication, scheduling, field workflows, payments and reporting. Evaluate it against the full operation you run today. Demonstrate the work you want AI and automation to take over, then confirm the remaining requirements and migration scope.
- What data moves when switching to Solea?
- Agree on your specific record scope and mapping before launch. In the published Able FieldRoutes migration, customers, properties, subscriptions, contracts and service history were transferred. Use that as an example, and confirm your own billing, treatment, inspection and document requirements separately.
- How long does a migration take?
- The full timeline depends on the agreed data work, payment setup, training and launch checks. Able’s initial data transfer took three days, while its complete rollout ran from late May to July 27, 2026. That case-specific timeline is not a universal delivery commitment.
- Can we keep operating during the transition?
- Able continued operating in FieldRoutes while Solea prepared its data and performed further syncs before launch. For your own move, agree on how ongoing bookings, payments and account changes will be handled, including the final handoff. The approach should be explicit in your rollout plan.
- What happens to saved customer payment methods?
- Plan their transfer with the implementation team and payment processor. Solea uses Stripe, and saved-payment readiness should be checked separately from the customer-data import. Confirm which system continues collecting payments before launch and when the new setup takes over.
- How should we handle historical chemical and WDO records?
- Bring sample application records, inspection reports, device information and customer documents to the scoping discussion. Agree on what transfers, how each field maps and how staff will retrieve it. Verify the result on representative properties before cutover.
- What does AI change after the switch?
- Solea’s voice agent handles enabled appointment actions, and its scheduler optimizes upcoming routes. Configured payment workflows automate charges and reminders, while AI-assisted reporting supports the management workflow. The aim is less back-office administration and more attention to customers.
- How do we get a migration plan and quote?
- Book a walkthrough with your team size, service mix, current systems and representative accounts. Use it to establish the workflows and record scope, then request a quote covering the platform, implementation and payment-processing terms.
