Most of the working day went to getting to the work rather than doing it. Adding volume meant adding trucks, because the schedule itself had no more room in it.
Calls arriving after hours reached voicemail, so jobs ready to book went cold overnight. Collections trailed the work, with only 11% of invoices settled the day the job was finished.
